Caleb at 34 weeks.... Six Pounds!

Today we went in for our 34-week ultrasound to check on the positioning of my placenta, and Caleb. Caleb had been in the breech position for the last couple of weeks and we were concerned that we may have to have a c-section. We were thrilled to find out that Caleb is head-down and facing towards my spine, which is just as he should be , and that the placenta is no longer covering my cervix... so we should be able to try a vaginal birth!!

After our ultrasound appointment, I had to spend a couple of hours at the Women's Hospital triage to better assess some problems with high blood pressure that I was having. After 3 hours of machines that go BING - they let me go home. Now I have to collect my pee in a container for the next 24 hours! Yum.

We had no idea how amazing it would be to see him at 34 weeks! It was like looking at our baby's first photo. We discovered that he certainly has his dad's chin and cheeks! Caleb was sleeping peacefully in this shot.

The more we prodded.... the grumpier he got! He made all kinds of grumpy faces as we continued to push around on my belly. If you look closely, you can see a bit of his hairy little head.

He is extra, extra grumpy in this shot! He looks like a little old man with his dentures out. Check out those cheeks!

Let's be honest here. The TRUE burning question was will Caleb inherit Chris' little-big-toe? SO.... we checked it out, and it looks like we are in the clear. Whew.

So after the tech measured Caleb we discovered that he is already SIX POUNDS... and we still have up to six weeks to go! The doctor even told us that his belly is really big around too. We just love our super chunky baby and can't wait to hold him. Not much longer now!

Love these pics! Technology is amazing. I remember this stage with Landon's pics and once he entered our world, we noticed how much the ultra images truly looked just like him. What an outstanding sneak peek. Thanks for sharing with us!
