We took Caleb to our neighborhood pool Memorial Day weekend to see if he would enjoy the open waters. He has been such a water dog during tubby time that we thought he would be a natural in the pool.
We didn't really think through the fact that this was opening weekend in an UN-HEATED pool. The water temperature was absolutely freezing. Even our toes were numb!
Needless to say, our first visit to the pool was rather short-lived. We quickly retreated to a soft, warm terry towel and headed home. We'll try this again in a few weeks when we head to Virginia Beach. I think we will have better luck there.
