So since this was Caleb's first official Easter he really had no clue what all this bunny business was all about. My sister had the kids go out on the porch the night before to leave carrots for the Easter Bunny (as payment for the loot I guess). The next morning the big kids woke and ran out to the porch to find half-eaten carrots and beautiful Easter baskets. Caleb had no idea what all the excitement was about and decided to eat the half-eaten carrots instead.

Once we finally convinced him to actually open his basket he found the chocolate kisses and began opening them one by one. Each time with a shout of surprise when he uncovered the chocolatey goodness that lied within each shiny foil wrapper.

He did not eat them at first. Instead he lined them all up in a row on my Aunt's perfectly white rug. That made me a little nervous so we decided to get him a bowl instead. He would take small bites or lick them and then stick the wet chocolate back into the bowl. Once we made it past the chocolate he finally found the Elmo movie which he loves, his potato head bunny and countless other books and stickers! Yeah! This Bunny thing is O.K.

Beautiful EmmaGrace covered in plastic!
